Whitelisting Emails

How to add Dale and Waters to your email safe list  

Make sure you don’t miss a single email. Whitelisting is a quick, easy way to make sure emails you want to receive don’t get blocked or land in your junk mail. To add information@daleandwaters.com.au to your contacts or safe email list, all you need to do is open the email message, click on the sender’s email address and add them to your contacts to verify the sender can be trusted. 

How to add emails to your safe list:

Gmail:

Log in to your Gmail account.

  • Click the Settings gear icon in the top-right corner and select “See all settings.
  • Go to the “Filters and Blocked Addresses” tab.
  • Add the email address or domain you want to whitelist to the “Allowlist” (approved senders list).
  • Messages from that address won’t be marked as spam, but users may still see a Gmail warning banner.

Hotmail:

Once the email address has been whitelisted it will skip spam check by Hotmail.

Log in to Hotmail

  • Click on the Settings icon at the top right side of the page
  • Expand it and click on More Mail Settings
  • Click on Safe and blocked senders
  • Click Safe Senders
  • Add the email address you want to whitelist, then click Add to list. 

Outlook:

  • In Outlook, go to the Home tab.
  • Click the arrow next to “Junk” in the Delete group and select “Junk E-mail Options.”
  • Navigate to the “Safe Senders” tab.
  • Add the email address or domain you want to whitelist.
  • Emails from these senders will bypass spam filters and land in your inbox2.

Outlook.com

  • Go to Settings, then Options.
  • In the left pane, choose “Junk Email”, then “Safe Senders.”
  • Enter the email addresses or domains you want to whitelist and select "Add" 

SmarterMail:

  • Log in to SmarterMail.
  • Click “Settings” and then “Trusted Senders.”
  • Add the email address or domain you wish to whitelist4.

Office 365:

  • Go to Settings and select “View all Outlook settings.”
  • Navigate to “Mail” > “Junk email” > “Safe senders and domains.”
  • Add the domains or addresses you want to whitelist5.

Android (Default client):

On Android devices, 

  • Open the email message
  • touch the picture of the sender that displays before the message. 
  • Tap “Add to Contacts.”

Apple Mail (OS X and iOS devices):

Both Apple Mail and Mail on iOS devices (iPhone or iPads) have a similar process for adding senders to Contacts

  • Open the Email  
  • In the email header, click on the Sender’s email address or the “Reply-to” email address.
  • From the dropdown menu select  “Add to Contacts” or “Add to VIPs.”

The advantage of “Add to VIPs” is that future emails from this sender will be added to a special VIP mailbox in iOS Mail, which can make them easier to find. 

If the email has been placed in junk, you can right click on the email in your Junk folder, and select “Move to In Box” 

Xtra Mail: 

Follow these steps to allow emails from specified contacts to bypass Xtra’s strong anti-spam filtering. 
  • Log in to your Xtra account on the website xtra.co.nz 
  • Click on the “Address Book” tab in the upper corner of the screen
  • Select “New” to add a new contact
  • Fill out the necessary fields for the contact (you don’t have to fill in all fields)
  • Click “Save” to add the contact to your white list.
